Summary

Assembles, tests, and stocks all products and equipment manufactured in the facility.

Duties

  • Inspect all parts being assembled, both manufactured and purchased, for defects or poor quality, and ensure each product meets quality standards
  • Inform Supervisor of any defects or quality issues
  • Assemble components in the primary state of production
  • Assemble products in the finished state of production
  • Box finish product and ensure any literature or instructions are with the product
  • Notify Supervisor when discrepancies occur with work orders
  • Turn off and unplug air gun and stapler when shift if over
  • Oil staple gun daily
  • Inform Supervisor of needed supplies, materials, and equipment
  • May move product with a hand truck
  • May move product with forklift – if certified
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required
  • Collaborate with other team associates while simultaneously developing a team environment
  • Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures
  • Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to Supervisor
  • Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers and new associates as needed
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to facilitate manufacturing functions, and follow safety regulations
  • Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision
  • Perform other duties and assignments as requested

Specifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to read and write (in English) and perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Frequently involves lifting up to 60 lbs., pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, subject to dust, dirt, and grease conditions
  • Frequent Standing 90% of day, Walk 15% of day
  • Must possess, or have the ability, to develop knowledge of products manufactured
  • Must be able to read a tape measure
  • Prompt arrival and regular attendance at work
  • Pleasant and cooperative with co-workers
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
