1st Shift Production Team Member
Summary
We are seeking individuals to work in the assembly department. A variety of different duties include assembling products, testing, and packing products and equipment that has been manufactured in the facility. First shift generally runs Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm and we work 40-45 hours a week based on production need.
Duties
- Inspect all parts being assembled, both manufactured and purchased, for defects or poor quality, and ensure each product meets quality standards
- Inform Supervisor of any defects or quality issues
- Assemble components in the primary state of production
- Assemble products in the finished state of production
- Box finish product and ensure any literature or instructions are with the product
- Notify Supervisor when discrepancies occur with work orders
- Turn off and unplug air gun and stapler when shift if over
- Oil staple gun daily
- Inform Supervisor of needed supplies, materials, and equipment
- May move product with a hand truck
- May move product with forklift – if certified
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required
- Collaborate with other team associates while simultaneously developing a team environment
- Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures
- Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to Supervisor
- Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers and new associates as needed
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to facilitate manufacturing functions, and follow safety regulations
- Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision
- Perform other duties and assignments as requested

Specifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to read and write (in English) and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Frequently involves lifting up to 60 lbs., pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, subject to dust, dirt, and grease conditions
- Frequent Standing 90% of day, Walk 15% of day.
- Must possess, or have the ability, to develop knowledge of products manufactured
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Prompt arrival and regular attendance at work
