About the Role

We’re looking for a Creative Specialist to be the visual and creative backbone of our Marketing team. You’ll own the design work that drives our campaigns, content, and brand presence across Blue Ox and the Hesse Enterprises family, and you’ll do it as a true partner to the Director of Marketing, not as a cog in a large department.

This role comes with real variety. Some days you’re at home editing graphics and building campaign assets. Other days, you’re at the plant in Pender, at the facility in Lincoln, or out in the field capturing content at a trade show or event. On-site time varies based on project needs and can be frequent; this isn’t a purely remote role. Field travel to expos, shows, and shoots runs roughly 20% of the time. If you’re a creative who likes to be in the mix — not just behind a screen — this is the right environment for you.

You’ll come in with a solid foundation in design and some video experience, and you’ll grow here. We partner with outside vendors for major productions, so you don’t need to be a one-person film crew, but you should know your way around a camera and editing timeline.

Duties/Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Design — Your Core (approx. 70%)

  • Create and maintain brand-consistent visual assets across digital and print: social graphics, email templates, ads, trade show materials, presentations, and product collateral
  • Own the visual execution of marketing campaigns for Blue Ox and Hesse Enterprises brands from concept through delivery
  • Manage and organize creative asset libraries so the team can find and reuse what’s been built
  • Uphold brand standards across all output and bring a sharp eye for quality to everything that goes out the door

Video — A Growing Priority

  • Produce and edit video content for social media, email campaigns, trade shows, product launches, and digital advertising
  • Capture field content at company events, expos, customer visits, and product shoots
  • Coordinate with outside production partners on larger shoots — you’ll manage logistics and creative direction.
  • Help shape our video strategy as this channel grows in importance across our brands

General Marketing Support (approx. 20%)

  • Support day-to-day marketing operations, including asset coordination, Social Media, scheduling, and vendor communication
  • Assist with campaign setup and tracking in Salesforce and other marketing tools
  • Contribute creative ideas to campaign planning and content strategy
  • Represent the brand in the field at trade shows, expos, and events with professionalism

Required Skills

You Should Bring

  • Experience in a design, creative, or marketing production role
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (or other comparable tools) — Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign are essential
  • A portfolio that demonstrates versatility: digital, print, campaigns, and brand work
  • Working experience with video production or editing (Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar)
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without losing quality or composure
  • A collaborative, low-ego attitude — you’re a team of two, so communication and trust matter a lot
  • Comfort with a flexible work arrangement that includes remote days, variable on-site time, and field travel approximately 20% of the time

Education/Experience

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or marketing automation platforms
  • Experience in manufacturing, outdoor lifestyle, automotive, or trade/dealer marketing
  • Background in brand management or working within multi-brand environments
  • Motion graphics or animation experience
