Job Summary:
Responsible for picking and preparing component parts in preparation for the paint process, as well as moving component parts from the paint line onto the proper assembly staging line. Will also assemble, test, and stock all products and equipment manufactured in the facility.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Pull parts required for powder coating from storage areas by looking at the Manufacturing Order (MO) and verifying the parts that are being hung are correct and contain all parts for that order
- Accurately count all parts and verify with the work order
- Hang parts on the conveying system for powder coating
- If the hang-up line for paint is full, move and take down parts and put them into bins
- Pull parts via an overhead conveyor from the oven and stage parts on the conveyor for assembly
- Inspect parts to make sure that they are completely painted and that there are no paint splatters
- Unload and move component parts off the conveyor line.
- Take down parts that go to specific lines (e.g., triple lugs, latches, pivot blocks, bars, heads, L-brackets), count parts, and place them in the correct bins.
- Inspect all parts being assembled, both manufactured and purchased, for defects or poor quality, and ensure each product meets quality standards
- Inform the supervisor of any defects or quality issues
- Assemble components in the primary state of production
- Assemble products in the finished state of production
- Box finish product and ensure any literature or instructions are with the product
- May move product with a hand truck
- May move product with forklift – if certified
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required
- Collaborate with other team associates while simultaneously developing a team environment
- Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to the supervisor
- Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers and new associates as needed
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to facilitate manufacturing functions, and follow safety regulations
- Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision
- Perform other duties and assignments as requested
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to read and write (in English) and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Must possess, or have the ability, to develop knowledge of products manufactured
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Prompt arrival and regular attendance at work
- Pleasant and cooperative with co-workers
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements:
- Physical demands vary by department and job assignment. Positions may require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 80 pounds frequently.
- Frequent repetitive work, use of hands
- Frequently Standing 90% of the day, Walk 15% of the day.
- Use of hand tools (wrenches, hammers, etc.)
